Inter Milan and AC Milan will square off in one of the biggest derbies in world football over the weekend – The last time both teams met at the Coppa Italia, Ibrahimovic and Lukaku clashed as the Swedish striker was sent off.
The last time AC Milan and Inter Milan met in the Coppa Italia, there was a clash between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku. And the moment both players looked at each other in the eye has now been turned into street art as a painting of the staredown was put in front of San Siro. The mural has a caption written in English, which reads: “Face to face, heart to heart.” Milan and Inter will play a Serie A game at the weekend that could define where the title could go depending on the outcome of the results.

During their quarter-final clash in the Coppa Italia, Lukaku was angry at what Ibrahimovic said and needed to be held back by teammates. The Swedish forward denied making racist comments after he was criticised on social media and was later cleared of the charge.

Milan who had recorded a 2-1 victory over their city rivals in the league last October will be looking to repeat the feat to go back top of the Serie A table. Inter moved to the top of the league standings after defeating Lazio by 3-1 while Milan lost to lowly-placed Spezia by 2-0. It is now a one-point gap between both sides and a win on either side could define where the league title is going in the summer.
